Archbishop John C. Wester of Santa Fe to serve as Episcopal Moderator of the AUSCP
Archbishop John Charles Wester of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe has agreed to serve as Episcopal Moderator of the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests.
“I am honored by your request and am happy to serve in this capacity,” said Archbishop Wester in a letter to Reverend Jim Schexnayder, who had written to him on behalf of the AUSCP. “I look forward to speaking with you in the future so that I can learn how I can be of assistance and support,” Archbishop Wester said. “May the Lord bless you and your brother priests abundantly.”
“The AUSCP looks forward to continuing our constructive contribution to the life of our Church, working with Archbishop Wester,” said Reverend Bernard “Bob” Bonnot, chair of the Association’s leadership team.
Archbishop Wester was ordained a priest in 1976 in San Francisco and ministered in parishes, schools and archdiocesan positions.
